- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained
- 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- Optional toppings: sour cream, salsa, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, jalapeños
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
In a skillet, cook ground beef and onions until browned; drain excess fat.
Stir in taco seasoning and diced tomatoes, cooking for 2–3 minutes.
Unroll half of the crescent dough and press into the bottom of the baking dish.
Spread the beef mixture evenly over the dough.
Sprinkle 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese on top.
Unroll remaining crescent dough and place on top, sealing edges.
Sprinkle remaining cheese over the top.
Bake for 25–30 minutes or until the crust is golden and cheese is melted.
Serve with optional toppings like sour cream, lettuce, or salsa.
