  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ cup whole milk

For the Vanilla Glaze

  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 3–4 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).Grease and flour a 10-cup Bundt pan thoroughly.
  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.In a large mixing bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.Mix in vanilla extract.Alternate adding the dry ingredients with sour cream and milk until smooth.
  • Divide the batter evenly into six bowls.
  • Spoon alternating colors into the prepared Bundt pan.Continue layering the colors until all batter is used.Lightly swirl with a knife to create a marbled rainbow effect.
  • Bake for 45–50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 15 minutes.Carefully invert onto a wire rack and cool completely.
  • Whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.Adjust consistency if needed.
  • Drizzle glaze evenly over the cooled cake.Top with rainbow sprinkles or other decorations if desired.
  • Slice and reveal the beautiful rainbow swirls inside.
