Red, White, and Blue Jell-O Shots
Celebrate in style with these fun and festive Red, White, and Blue Jell-O Shots! Made with flavored gelatin, vodka, and a creamy white layer, these layered shots are perfect for the 4th of July, Memorial Day, and other patriotic celebrations.
Ingredients
For the Red Layer:
- 1 box (3 oz) cherry or strawberry Jell-O
- 1 cup boiling water
- ½ cup vodka
- ½ cup cold water
For the White Layer:
- 1 packet (0.25 oz) unflavored gelatin
- ½ cup hot water
- ½ cup sweetened condensed milk
- ½ cup vodka
- ½ cup cold water
For the Blue Layer:
- 1 box (3 oz) berry blue Jell-O
- 1 cup boiling water
- ½ cup vodka
- ½ cup cold water
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Red Layer
- In a mixing bowl, dissolve the red Jell-O in 1 cup of boiling water.
- Stir in ½ cup of vodka and ½ cup of cold water..
- Pour a thin layer into shot cups or a silicone mold
- Refrigerate for 30–45 minutes until set.
Step 2: Prepare the White Layer
- In a separate bowl, dissolve the unflavored gelatin in ½ cup of hot water.
- Stir in sweetened condensed milk, ½ cup vodka, and ½ cup cold water.
- Once the red layer is firm, carefully pour the white mixture over it.
- Refrigerate for another 30–45 minutes until set.
Step 3: Prepare the Blue Layer
- In a clean bowl, dissolve the blue Jell-O in 1 cup of boiling water.
- Stir in ½ cup of vodka and ½ cup of cold water.
- Once the white layer is firm, carefully pour the blue mixture over it.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until completely set.
Step 4: Serve and Enjoy
- Once fully set, serve the shots chilled.
- Optionally, garnish with whipped cream or sprinkles for extra flair!
Notes
- To make non-alcoholic versions, substitute vodka with cold water or juice.
- Be patient between layers—rushing can cause colors to mix.
- Use clear shot cups for the best visual effect.
