Cuisine American
- 4 large chicken breasts
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare the filling: In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth. Butterfly the chicken: Carefully slice each chicken breast horizontally, creating a pocket. Be sure not to cut all the way through. Stuff the chicken: Spoon the cheese mixture into the pockets of the chicken breasts, securing with toothpicks if necessary. Sear the chicken: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear the stuffed chicken breasts for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown. Bake the chicken: Transfer the seared chicken breasts to a baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked (internal temperature of 165°F). Rest and serve: Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
