Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked sushi rice
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 pound cooked salmon, flaked
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
  • Nori sheets (for serving)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Rice:
Mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt in a small bowl. Add the mixture to the cooked rice and gently fold until well combined. Spread the rice evenly into a greased baking dish.
  • Prepare the Salmon Layer:
In a medium bowl, combine flaked salmon, mayonnaise, sriracha, cream cheese, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Mix until creamy and evenly blended.
  • Assemble the Bake: Spread the salmon mixture evenly over the rice layer in the baking dish.
  • Bake:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the dish for 20-25 minutes or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  • Garnish and Serve:
Sprinkle green onions and sesame seeds on top. Serve with nori sheets for scooping or wrapping.

Notes

  • Substitute salmon with crab or tuna for variety.
  • For extra texture, add a layer of diced cucumbers or avocado before serving.
  • Adjust the sriracha for a milder or spicier dish.
