- 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
- 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
- 1 lemon (½ sliced, ½ juiced)
- 2 tbsp fresh dill, chopped (plus extra for garnish)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp white wine or vegetable broth for moisture
Preheat oven:Preheat to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
Prepare salmon:Place salmon fillets on the baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil or butter, and season with salt and pepper.
Add flavor:Rub minced garlic over the salmon, sprinkle with fresh dill, and drizzle lemon juice over the top. Place a few lemon slices on each fillet.
Bake:Bake for 15–18 minutes, depending on thickness, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and is just opaque in the center.
Serve:Garnish with extra fresh dill and a squeeze of lemon juice. Serve warm with steamed vegetables, rice, or salad.
- Wild-caught salmon offers the best flavor and texture.
- Don’t overbake — salmon should stay moist and tender.
- For added richness, top with a spoonful of Greek yogurt-dill sauce.
- Fresh dill is preferred over dried for a brighter flavor.
- Great served with roasted potatoes, asparagus, or quinoa.
