Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup fresh grapefruit juice (about 1 large grapefruit)
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt (or Tajín for extra flavor)
  • 1 tbsp honey or agave syrup (optional)
  • 1/2 cup sparkling water (or club soda)
  • Ice cubes
  • Grapefruit slices for garnish
  • Fresh rosemary or mint (optional, for garnish)
  • 1.5 oz tequila, gin, or vodka (optional for a cocktail version)

Instructions
 

Prepare the Glass:

  • Rim a glass with sea salt or Tajín for extra zest.
  • Fill the glass with ice cubes.

Mix the Drink:

  • In a shaker or mixing glass, combine fresh grapefruit juice, salt, and honey/agave syrup (if using).
  • Stir or shake well until the salt dissolves.

Add the Fizz:

  • Pour the grapefruit mixture over ice.
  • Top with sparkling water or club soda.

Optional Alcoholic Version:

  • If making a cocktail, add tequila, gin, or vodka before topping with sparkling water.

Garnish & Serve:

  • Garnish with a grapefruit slice and fresh rosemary or mint.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Adjust the salt level to taste—just a pinch enhances the flavor without overpowering.
  • Tajín seasoning adds a spicy, citrusy kick if you prefer extra zest.
  • For a sweeter version, increase the honey or agave syrup.
