- 2 large bunches Swiss chard
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- Lemon wedges for serving
Wash the Swiss chard thoroughly under cold water. Separate the leaves from the stems. Chop the stems into small pieces and roughly chop the leaves.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the chopped stems to the skillet and sauté for 3–4 minutes until slightly tender.
Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add the Swiss chard leaves to the skillet. Toss gently and cook for 3–5 minutes until wilted and tender.
Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Stir well to combine.
Remove from heat and drizzle with fresh lemon juice.
Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with lemon wedges. Serve immediately.
