Ingredients
  

For the Gelatin Layers

  • 7 packages (3 ounces each) fruit-flavored gelatin in assorted colors
  • 7 cups boiling water
  • 7 cups cold water

For the Cream Layers

  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Combine sour cream, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Dissolve one package of gelatin in 1 cup boiling water. Stir in 1 cup cold water.
  • Pour half of the gelatin into a clear dish. Chill until partially set.
  • Spread a thin layer of the sour cream mixture over the gelatin.
  • Pour the remaining gelatin over the cream layer and chill until set.
  • Repeat the process with all seven gelatin flavors.
  • Refrigerate until fully firm.
  • Cut into squares to reveal the colorful layers.
