Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef (or ground lamb)
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cups frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn, green beans)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cups beef broth
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup (optional)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Add diced onion and garlic to the skillet, cooking until softened.
  • Stir in tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper.
  • Sprinkle flour over the beef mixture and stir well.
  • Pour in beef broth and mix until thickened.
  • Add frozen vegetables and stir until well combined.
  • Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Spread shredded cheese evenly over the beef and vegetable mixture.
  • Arrange frozen tater tots in a single layer on top.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
  • Let cool for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra flavor, use seasoned tater tots.
  • Swap ground beef for ground turkey or lamb for a different variation.
  • If you prefer a saucier filling, add a can of cream of mushroom soup.
