Skinny Spicy Margarita

Ingredients
  

  • 2 oz tequila (silver or reposado)
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 oz fresh orange juice (or a splash of orange-flavored sparkling water)
  • 1/2 oz agave syrup (optional for a touch of sweetness)
  • 3-4 jalapeño slices (adjust to spice preference)
  • 1 oz sparkling water (optional for a lighter version)
  • Ice cubes
  • Tajín or salt for rimming the glass
  • Lime wedge and jalapeño slices for garnish

Instructions
 

Prepare the Glass:

  • Rub a lime wedge around the rim of your glass.
  • Dip the rim in Tajín or salt for extra flavor.

Muddle the Jalapeño:

  • In a cocktail shaker, add the jalapeño slices and fresh lime juice.
  • Muddle well to release the spicy flavors.

Mix the Margarita:

  • Add tequila, fresh orange juice, agave syrup (if using), and ice to the shaker.
  • Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds.

Serve:

  • Strain the margarita into your prepared glass over fresh ice.
  • Top with sparkling water (if using).

Garnish & Enjoy:

  • Garnish with a lime wedge and extra jalapeño slices.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Adjust spice levels by using more or fewer jalapeño slices.
  • For an even lighter version, skip the agave syrup.
  • Use reposado tequila for a smoother, slightly caramelized flavor.
