For the Chicken
- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
Barbecue Sauce Mixture
- 1½ cups barbecue sauce
- ½ cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon chili powder

Lightly grease the slow cooker with olive oil.
Spread the sliced onion and minced garlic evenly across the bottom of the slow cooker.
Place the chicken breasts on top of the onions.

Pour the sauce evenly over the chicken breasts.
