- 1.5 kg corned beef brisket
- 1 bottle (330 ml) Guinness stout
- 1 cup beef broth
- 6 potatoes (peeled and halved)
- 4 carrots (cut into chunks)
- 1 small cabbage (cut into wedges)
- 1 onion (sliced)
- 3 garlic cloves (minced)
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
Place sliced onions and garlic at the bottom of the slow cooker.
Place corned beef brisket on top.
Pour Guinness stout and beef broth over the meat.
Add bay leaves and black pepper.
Cover and cook on low for 6 hours.
Add potatoes and carrots and cook for 1½ hours.
Add cabbage and cook for another 30 minutes.
Remove meat and slice thinly.
Serve with vegetables and broth.
