Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 kg corned beef brisket
  • 1 bottle (330 ml) Guinness stout
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 6 potatoes (peeled and halved)
  • 4 carrots (cut into chunks)
  • 1 small cabbage (cut into wedges)
  • 1 onion (sliced)
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Place sliced onions and garlic at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • Place corned beef brisket on top.
  • Pour Guinness stout and beef broth over the meat.
  • Add bay leaves and black pepper.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6 hours.
  • Add potatoes and carrots and cook for 1½ hours.
  • Add cabbage and cook for another 30 minutes.
  • Remove meat and slice thinly.
  • Serve with vegetables and broth.
