Slow Cooker Shepherd’s Pie

A classic Shepherd’s Pie made easy in the slow cooker with flavorful meat, veggies, and creamy mashed potatoes.

- 1 lb ground beef or lamb
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 carrots, diced
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 cup corn kernels
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp dried rosemary
- 1 cup beef broth
- 3 cup mashed potatoes (prepared separately)
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef or lamb until browned. Drain excess fat.
Add onion, garlic, and carrots, and sauté for 3–5 minutes until softened.
Transfer the mixture to the slow cooker. Add peas, corn, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, rosemary, beef broth, salt, and pepper.
Stir well, cover, and cook on low for 6 hours.
Spread the mashed potatoes evenly over the meat mixture in the slow cooker.
Sprinkle cheese on top, if using, and cook for another 10–15 minutes until melted.
Serve hot and enjoy!

For a richer flavor, use lamb instead of beef.
