Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup smoked fish (whitefish, salmon, mullet, or mackerel), flaked
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1–2 tsp hot sauce (optional)
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped onion
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped celery
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, add the flaked smoked fish and break it apart with a fork.
  • Add cream cheese, mayonnaise, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce.
  • Mix until smooth but still slightly chunky for texture.
  • Fold in the onion, celery, and herbs.
  • Chill for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to develop.
  • Garnish with paprika or Old Bay before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust the creaminess by adding more mayo or cream cheese.
  • Use freshly smoked fish for the best flavour.
  • Salmon gives a richer flavor; whitefish or mullet deliver a classic taste.
  • Add jalapeños for a spicy twist.
  • Best served chilled and consumed within 3 days.
