  • 6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs or drumsticks
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour

For the Gravy

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Season the chicken with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • Lightly dredge the chicken in flour.
  • Heat oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven.
  • Brown the chicken on both sides until golden.
  • Remove the chicken and set aside.
  • Add onions to the skillet and cook until softened and lightly caramelized.
  • Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  • Sprinkle in 2 tablespoons of flour and stir continuously.
  • Add thyme and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Cover and simmer for 40–45 minutes until the chicken is tender.
