Spicy Shrimp Ramen Noodles

- 2  packs  ramen noodles (discard seasoning packets)
 - 1/2  pound  shrimp, peeled and deveined
 - 1 tbsp  sesame oil
 - 1 tsp  ginger, grated
 - 2  cloves garlic, minced
 - 1 tbsp  soy sauce
 - 1 tbsp  sriracha (adjust to taste)
 - 4 cup s chicken or vegetable broth
 - 1 tsp  chili flakes (optional for extra heat)
 - 1 tbsp miso paste (optional for depth of flavor)
 - 1/2  tsp  brown sugar
 - 1/2  cup  shredded carrots
 - 1/2  cup  sliced mushrooms
 - 1/4  cup  chopped green onions
 - 1/4  cup  fresh cilantro (for garnish)
 - 1  boiled egg (optional, sliced in half)
 - 1 tbsp  lime juice
 
 
Prepare the broth: In a pot over medium heat, heat sesame oil and sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant.
Add liquids: Stir in soy sauce, sriracha, broth, miso paste, chili flakes, and brown sugar. Let simmer for 5 minutes.
Cook the shrimp: Add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink, about 3 minutes.
Add vegetables: Stir in carrots and mushrooms, cooking for another 3 minutes.
Cook the noodles: Add ramen noodles and cook according to package instructions.
Final touches: Remove from heat and stir in lime juice. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
Serve: Divide into bowls, top with green onions, cilantro, and a boiled egg if desired. Enjoy hot!
