- 12 oz steak (ribeye, sirloin, or flank steak)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 6 cups mixed salad greens
- 1/2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/4 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 avocado, sliced
- 1/4 cups crumbled blue cheese or feta
- 1/4 cups toasted nuts (almonds, pecans, or walnuts)
- 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp honey
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
Rub the steak with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
Cook the steak for 4-5 minutes per side (or until desired doneness).
Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing thinly.
In a large bowl, combine salad greens, cherry tomatoes, red onion, avocado, cheese, and nuts.
In a small bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, olive oil, Dijon mustard, honey, salt, and pepper.
Drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss to combine.
Top with sliced steak and serve immediately.
