- 4 bone-in or boneless pork chops
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- ¼ cup honey
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
- 2 tbsp water (if using cornstarch)
- Chopped parsley or green onions for garnish
Season and sear the pork chops: Pat the pork chops dry and season with black pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the pork chops for about 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
Prepare the garlic sauce: In the same skillet, lower the heat and add the minced garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Make the sticky glaze: Stir in the soy sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Thicken the sauce (optional): If you prefer a thicker glaze, mix cornstarch with water and stir it into the sauce. Simmer for another minute.
Coat the pork chops: Return the pork chops to the skillet and spoon the sticky garlic sauce over them. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to soak in.
Finish and serve: Remove from heat, add butter for extra richness, and garnish with chopped parsley or green onions. Serve hot!
