Strawberry Margarita Jell-O Shots
Strawberry Margarita Jell-O Shots are a fun, tequila-infused twist on the classic margarita. Made with strawberry gelatin, lime juice, and orange liqueur, they’re perfect for parties, Cinco de Mayo, and festive celebrations!
Ingredients
- 1 box (3 oz) strawberry Jell-O1 cup boiling water
- ½ cup tequila (silver or reposado)
- ¼ cup triple sec (or orange liqueur)
- ¼ cup cold water
- 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
- Coarse salt or sugar (for garnish, optional)
- Lime wedges (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Dissolve the Gelatin
- In a bowl, mix strawberry Jell-O with 1 cup of boiling water, stirring until completely dissolved.
Step 2: Add Alcohol & Flavorings
- Stir in cold water, tequila, triple sec, and fresh lime juice, mixing well.
Step 3: Pour & Chill
- Pour the mixture into shot cups or mini plastic containers.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until the Jell-O is fully set.
Step 4: Garnish & Serve
- If desired, rim the shot cups with coarse salt or sugar before serving.
- Garnish each shot with a small lime wedge and enjoy!
Notes
- Use silver (blanco) tequila for a lighter, crisp flavor or reposado tequila for a smoother, aged taste.
- For extra sweetness, rim the shot cups with sugar instead of salt.
- To make them non-alcoholic, replace the tequila and triple sec with orange juice and lime soda.
