Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups strawberries (hulled and sliced)
  • 2 cups rhubarb (chopped)
  • 1 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • In a bowl, combine strawberries, rhubarb, half the sugar, and cornstarch. Mix well and set aside.
  • Pour melted butter into a baking dish.
  • In another bowl, whisk flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, salt, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Pour batter over the melted butter (do not stir).
  • Spoon the fruit mixture evenly over the batter.
  • Bake for 40–45 minutes until golden brown and bubbling.
  • Allow to cool slightly before serving.
