- ¾ cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
For the Frangipane Filling
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1½ cups almond flour
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
For the Fruit Topping
- 1½ cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 cup rhubarb, diced
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
In a bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
