Ingredients
  

  • 4 large bell peppers
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 250 grams ground meat or beans
  • 1 small onion (chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup grated cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Wash the bell peppers and cut off the tops. Remove seeds and membranes.
  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • Heat olive oil in a pan. Cook onion and garlic until soft.
  • Add ground meat or beans and cook thoroughly.
  • Add rice, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, and herbs. Mix well.
  • Stuff the mixture into each pepper.
  • Place peppers in a baking dish and bake for 35–40 minutes.
  • Sprinkle cheese on top and bake 5 minutes more.
  • Serve warm.
