- 4 large bell peppers
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 250 grams ground meat or beans
- 1 small onion (chopped)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup grated cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Wash the bell peppers and cut off the tops. Remove seeds and membranes.
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
Heat olive oil in a pan. Cook onion and garlic until soft.
Add ground meat or beans and cook thoroughly.
Add rice, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, and herbs. Mix well.
Stuff the mixture into each pepper.
Place peppers in a baking dish and bake for 35–40 minutes.
Sprinkle cheese on top and bake 5 minutes more.
Serve warm.
