  • Ground meat (beef, pork, chicken, or a combination)
  • Bread crumbs Onion
  • finely chopped Garlic minced
  • Egg
  • Salt and pepper
  • For the sweet and sour sauce:
  • Ketchup
  • Vinegar
  • Brown sugar
  • Soy sauce
  • Pineapple chunks
  • Bell peppers, diced

  • Creating the Meatball Mixture
    In a mixing bowl, combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, salt, and pepper. Gently mix the ingredients until well combined. This mixture forms the base of your succulent meatballs.
  • Shaping and Cooking the Meatballs
    Take small portions of the meat mixture and roll them into bite-sized meatballs. You can use your hands or a scoop for uniform sizing. Heat a pan with oil over medium heat and place the meatballs in the pan. Cook until they are browned on all sides and cooked through.
  • Preparing the Sweet and Sour Sauce
    The sweet and sour sauce is the star of this dish. In a saucepan, combine ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar, and soy sauce. Cook over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved and the sauce thickens slightly. Add pineapple chunks and diced bell peppers to infuse the sauce with fruity and tangy flavors.
  • Bringing It All Together
    Gently place the cooked meatballs into the sweet and sour sauce, ensuring they are coated evenly. Let the meatballs simmer in the sauce for a few minutes, allowing the flavors to meld. The result is a mouthwatering medley of savory and tangy tastes.
