- 1 cup mashed cooked sweet potatoes
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 tbsp sugar (optional)
- 6 tbsp cold butter, cubed
- ½ cup buttermilk (or as needed)
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar.
Cut cold butter into the flour mixture until crumbly.
Add mashed sweet potatoes and stir gently.
Pour in buttermilk little by little to form a soft dough.
Turn dough onto a floured surface and gently knead.
Roll to 1-inch thickness and cut biscuits with a round cutter.
Serve warm with butter or honey.
