- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cans (14.5 oz each) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 2 cans (15 oz each) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (15 oz) pinto beans, drained and rinsed
- 3 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
Brown the beef: Heat a large pot over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
Add vegetables: Stir in onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook for 5 minutes until softened.
Season: Add chili powder, cumin, paprika, cayenne, salt, and pepper. Stir until the beef is well coated.
