Ingredients
  

  • 6 corn tortillas (fried or baked into tostadas)
  • 1 cup fresh tuna (sushi-grade, diced) or canned tuna (drained)
  • 1 ripe avocado, mashed
  • 1 small tomato, diced
  • ½ small red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 small cucumber, diced
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: sliced jalapeños, hot sauce, or crema

Instructions
 

  • Prepare tostada shells by frying or baking corn tortillas until crisp.
  • In a bowl, combine tuna, lime juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  • Spread mashed avocado over each tostada shell.
  • Top with tuna mixture, then add tomato, onion, cucumber, and cilantro.
  • Garnish with jalapeños or crema if desired.
  • Serve immediately for the best crunch and freshness.

  • Always use sushi-grade tuna if serving raw.
  • For convenience, canned tuna works well too.
  • Bake tortillas instead of frying for a lighter version.
