Ingredients
  

  • 500g ground turkey
  • 1 cup cooked quinoa
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs (optional)
  • ¼ cup milk or yogurt
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried oregano or Italian seasoning

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • In a bowl, combine ground turkey, cooked quinoa, egg, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs (if using), milk, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and seasoning. Mix gently.
  • Form into a loaf shape and place in a greased baking dish or loaf pan.
  • Mix glaze ingredients and spread over the top.
  • Bake for 45–50 minutes until fully cooked (internal temperature 75°C).
  • Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Cook quinoa beforehand and let it cool.
  • Do not overmix to keep texture soft.
  • Turkey is lean, so moisture ingredients are important.
  • Add vegetables for extra nutrition.
  • Rest before slicing to retain juices.
  • Use parchment paper for easy removal.
