Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¾–1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, whisk melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  • Add egg and vanilla; mix well.
  • Fold in chocolate chips.
  • Press dough evenly into a greased 8-inch cast iron skillet or oven-safe pan.
  • Bake for 18–22 minutes until edges are golden but center is slightly soft.
  • Top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and serve warm.

  • Do not overbake — center should remain slightly gooey.
  • Use room temperature egg for better mixing.
