Ingredients
  

  • 1 inch fresh ginger, peeled and grated
  • 1 inch fresh turmeric, peeled and grated (or 1/2 tsp turmeric powder)
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 1 tbsp honey (optional, for sweetness)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Pinch of black pepper (optional, to enhance turmeric absorption)

Instructions
 

  • Add grated ginger and turmeric to a small bowl or directly into a blender.
  • Add lemon juice, honey, water, and black pepper (if using).
  • Blend the mixture until smooth. Alternatively, use a fine grater and stir well.
  • Strain the liquid into a small glass using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth.
  • Serve immediately as a single shot or store in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.

Notes

  • Adjust the honey to your desired level of sweetness or skip it altogether for a sugar-free version.
  • If fresh turmeric is unavailable, substitute it with high-quality turmeric powder.
