Ingredients

For the Cakesicles:

  • 2 cups crumbled vanilla cake (store-bought or homemade)
  • cup vanilla frosting
  • 12 oz white chocolate or candy melts
  • 12 cakesicle sticks

For Decoration:

  • ¼ cup additional melted white chocolate (for mummy effect)
  • Candy eyes

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Cake Mixture

  • If using a fresh cake, bake and allow it to cool completely before crumbling into fine pieces.
  • In a bowl, mix crumbled cake with vanilla frosting until a soft dough-like consistency forms.

Step 2: Shape and Chill

  • Press the cake mixture into cakesicle molds, then insert a cakesicle stick into each.
  • Freeze for 30 minutes to firm up.

Step 3: Coat with White Chocolate

  • Melt white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
  • Remove cakesicles from the freezer and carefully coat them in melted white chocolate.
  • Place on a parchment-lined tray and chill for 10 minutes to set.

Step 4: Create the Mummy Wrap Effect

  • Using a spoon or piping bag, drizzle extra melted white chocolate over the cakesicles in zigzag lines to resemble mummy bandages.
  • Place candy eyes onto the chocolate before it sets.

Step 5: Let Set & Serve

  • Allow cakesicles to set completely before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

  • You can use any flavor of cake as the base—chocolate, pumpkin spice, or red velvet all work great!
  • If the cake mixture is too dry, add a little more frosting.
