For the Cakesicles:
- 2 cups crumbled vanilla cake (store-bought or homemade)
- ⅓ cup vanilla frosting
- 12 oz white chocolate or candy melts
- 12 cakesicle sticks
For Decoration:
- ¼ cup additional melted white chocolate (for mummy effect)
- Candy eyes
Step 1: Prepare the Cake Mixture
If using a fresh cake, bake and allow it to cool completely before crumbling into fine pieces.
In a bowl, mix crumbled cake with vanilla frosting until a soft dough-like consistency forms.
Step 2: Shape and Chill
Press the cake mixture into cakesicle molds, then insert a cakesicle stick into each.
Freeze for 30 minutes to firm up.
Step 3: Coat with White Chocolate
Melt white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
Remove cakesicles from the freezer and carefully coat them in melted white chocolate.
Place on a parchment-lined tray and chill for 10 minutes to set.
Step 4: Create the Mummy Wrap Effect
Using a spoon or piping bag, drizzle extra melted white chocolate over the cakesicles in zigzag lines to resemble mummy bandages.
Place candy eyes onto the chocolate before it sets.
- You can use any flavor of cake as the base—chocolate, pumpkin spice, or red velvet all work great!
- If the cake mixture is too dry, add a little more frosting.
