Ingredients
  

  • 2 packages (8.5 oz each) cornbread mix
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 8 hot dogs, sliced into pieces
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can (14 oz) creamed corn
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: ketchup or mustard for serving

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • In a bowl, combine cornbread mix, milk, eggs, creamed corn, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Stir in diced onion, hot dog slices, and half the cheese.
  • Pour mixture into the baking dish. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
  • Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve with ketchup or mustard.

Notes

  • Use beef, pork, turkey, or chicken hot dogs based on preference.
  • Add jalapeños for a spicy kick.
  • Swap cheddar with pepper jack for extra flavour.
  • Use homemade cornbread batter for a from-scratch version.
  • Leftovers reheat well in the oven or microwave.
