- 4 cups chopped cabbage
- 300g ground beef (or chicken/turkey)
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 small onion (chopped)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 cups tomato sauce
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp oil
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
Heat oil in a pan. Add onions and garlic, sauté until soft.Add ground meat and cook until browned.
Lightly sauté cabbage for 5–7 minutes until slightly softened.
In a large bowl, combine cooked meat, cabbage, rice, tomato sauce, tomato paste, and spices. Mix well.
Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish. Spread evenly.
Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.Remove foil, add cheese on top (optional), and bake for another 15 minutes until golden.
Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
