Instructions
In a bowl, mix chicken strips with cornflour, all-purpose flour, egg, soy sauce, black pepper, and salt. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.
Heat oil in a pan and fry the marinated chicken strips until golden brown and crispy. Remove and set aside.
In another pan, heat 1 tbsp oil and sauté garlic, ginger, and dried red chilies until aromatic.
Add sliced capsicum and onion, and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
Mix tomato ketchup, chili sauce, soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, and red chili powder in a small bowl, then pour into the pan.
Add water and stir well. Let the sauce thicken slightly.
Toss in the fried chicken and mix until well coated with the sauce.
Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped spring onions.
Serve hot as an appetizer or with fried rice or noodles.
Notes
Adjust the spice level according to your preference by increasing or decreasing red chilies and chili sauce.
