For the Salad

  • 1 large head iceberg lettuce
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chives, chopped
  • ¼ cup red onion, finely diced
  • Freshly ground black pepper

For the Blue Cheese Dressing

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup buttermilk
  • ½ cup crumbled blue cheese
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, blue cheese, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until creamy and well blended. Refrigerate until ready to use.
  • Remove any damaged outer leaves from the iceberg lettuce. Cut the head into four equal wedges while keeping the core intact so the wedges hold together.
  • Cook the bacon until crispy and crumble it into small pieces. Slice the cherry tomatoes, chop the chives, and finely dice the red onion.
  • Place each lettuce wedge on a serving plate. Generously drizzle blue cheese dressing over the top.
  • Sprinkle bacon, tomatoes, red onion, and chives evenly over each wedge.
  • Finish with freshly ground black pepper and serve immediately while the lettuce remains crisp and chilled.
